The Power of Tiny Windmills

A MEMS micro
windmill placed on a penny, designed by Dr. Smitha Rao and J.C. Chiao, Professor
of Electrical Engineering at University of Texas - Arlington. The windmills are
so small that ten could fit on a single grain of rice.
Time
magazine’s Tech section reported that researchers at The University of Texas
Arlington say they have designed tiny windmills that recharge a battery's life.
