Src Kinase The SH3 domain is colored cyan. The SH2 domain is colored blue. The Cα helix (PSTAIRE) is colore light green, with Glutamate in CPK (lime). In the inactive kinase, this Glu is held by the Arg 385 (purple cpk). In the active form, the Glu is free to enter the active site because the Arg 385 is H-bonding to Phospho-Tyr 416 (yellow cpk). Phospho Tyr 527 (magenta cpk), at the C-terminus also strongly interacts with the SH3 domain in the inactive enzyme.
