This is one of the beta-hairpins.

4.1. Are the strands parallel or anti-parallel?

4.2. Find 2 amino acids that make 2 H-bonds between them

4.3. Find 2 amino acids that make no H-bonds.

4.4. There is one irregular region. Can you find it? Describe it. What might you call it?

4.5. Ser 10 seems to make only 1 H-bond, but look for its side chain. Could the O make an H-bond to backbone N in another amino acid? Which one? What structural feature of Ser makes this possible?

To measure the distance between 2 atoms: Double click on the first atom, then move the pointer to the second atom, and double click again. The distance in Å is shown on the screen.
