Crystal structure of DJ-1

The crystal structure of DJ-1 shows in ribbon the alpha helix in red and the beta sheet in yellow. Because of the oxidation of the PTEN binding partners, DJ-1 oncogene reduces that catalytic activity of PTEN, by binding to it. therefore, it leads to tumor suppression in cancer cells.
