This
view shows five domains including MBP domain (in grey), two TMDs
(in green and yellow) and two NBDs (in brown and red).
This view
shows a detailed structure of the NBDs. View along an axis
perpendicular to the membrane plane from the trans-side onto the
NBDs. The TMDs and MBP were removed from better visualization.
The A-loop (in red) contains tyrosine that helps to position the
ANP (in blue);Walker A motif (a separate helix in yellow on the
top right, which is RecA-like domain) directly interacts with
the phosphates of ANP;The walker B motif (the second beta-stand
in yellow on the left of RecA-like domain). It helps to
coordinate the magnesium (second biggest spheres next to ATP)
via the conserved aspartate residue. The top left and bottom
right are alpha-helical domains (in yellow and grey).
This review
shows a closer look of the NBD. ANP is shown in wireframe (in
yellow) and sphere (in blue) at the same time.
