Option A: Critical Analysis
Review the testing/QA/SQE practice in your company
or your former company,
briefly outline the specific quality definition of your company
and the corresponding quality tracking process,
and write a short essay to summarize the current/previous
testing/QA/SQE practice,
analyze its strength and weakness areas,
and discuss possible improvements based on overview of
QA/SQE activities we discussed in class so far and in Part I
(particularly Chapter 3 and some chapters in Part III) of our textbook.
You should focus on the description of
the testing/QA/SQE activities and related techniques used,
and your critique (critical analysis and suggested improvements),
not just general software process or management issues.
(This is probably more appropriate for software professionals.
However, if you don't feel comfortable discussing the practices
at your company, you may choose the second option below.)
Option B:
If you do not have too much to report in the "practice" part,
or if you don't feel comfortable discussing the QA/SQE practice at
your current/former company due to whatever reason,
you can select a chapter from Ch.13-16 or Ch.18-21,
or related papers or book chapters on similar topics those chapters,
and write a summary of the chapter/paper.
(This is probably more appropriate for full-time students.
Please make sure it is your own summary, based on your understanding
of the subject after reading/studying, not something directly
from the original source you have just studied.)
