Linear Programming

The OR Toolkit has three programs for linear programming:

  1. BLP. A basic linear programming package for small problems that optimizes a user’s model and provides a full set of output reports, including sensitivity analysis and ranging. (up to 50 constraints

  2. Mr. T. Shows all of the tableaus for optimizing a user’s LP problem.

  3. Mr. Pivot. This helps students understand the reasoning behind the simplex method’s calculations by setting up an initial tableau for a user’s problem and performing tableau pivots for user-selected pivot elements. (Beta version.)

  4. GLPK. Modeling language and solution software for linear and mixed-integer programming problems
