CYP51 In Cartoon Visualization

Secondary structure is represented that alpha helicies are pink, beta sheets are yellow, and regions without secondary structure are white. Non protein structures are drawn in wireframe. Note the heme group with inhibitor bound (to be discussed later)

CYP51 is known as cytochrome P450 14alpha -sterol demethylase. And is found in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This enzyme removes the 14alpha -methyl group from sterol precursors.

CYP51 In CPK Visualization

Secondary structure is represented that alpha helicies are pink, beta sheets are yellow, and regions without secondary structure are white. Non protein structures are also drawn in CPK colored by atoms.

Note how inaccessible the grey heme group is to the surface, visible though only two channels.
