MalEFGK2 in ourward-facing confirmation.

In this confirmation, ANP is bound at the NBDs, causing their closure and leading to the opening of TMDs. The released substrate diffuses toward the binding site in TMD, followed by ATP hydrolysis and resetting of the transporter into the inward-facing state. ANP and Mg are colored in red and green, respectively.
