Polymorphism of BCRP
This SNP, a mutation named Q141K (conversion of glutamine to lysine at residue 141), is associated with misfolding and decreased expression leading to hyperuricemia and gout. Residue 141 is important because it needs to bind N158 in an interaction between the NBD and TMD. This interaction is important in protein folding and stabilization.
