I want to thank you for formatting the class project for EMIS 7370 in the presentation and final report format. I recently interviewed for an environmental engineering position in the Houston Air Quality Unit of URS Corp. After successfully completing the initial interview, I was invited to return for a final interview. The final interview required me to give a 20 minute technical presentation on the topic of my choice to a panel of more senior engineers. I used the presentation on pump reliability that I had prepared for my class project this summer. The panel really liked like the format and I received a job offer within a few days later. Thanks for giving a class assignment that develops skills that have relevance in the corporate world.
