The clinch numbers provided by RIOT Sports can be thought of as improved replacements for traditional magic numbers. They are superior since they use detailed information about teams' remaining schedules and the NBA's procedure for breaking two-team ties in the final standings in their calculation. 리오트 스포츠가 제공하는 숫자는 전통적인 매직 넘버를 개선하여 대체할 수 있습니다. 팀들의 남은 일정과 최종순위가 두 팀이 동률일때 절차에 대해 상세한 정보를 계산에 활용하기 때문에 비교우위에 있습니다.
First Place Clinch Number 1위 클린치 넘버
The first place clinch number is the most similar to the commonly reported magic number. If the team wins this
number of additional games, it is guaranteed to finish the season with a better record than any of the other teams
in its conference, or to win a two-team tiebreaker for first place in the
conference.
일반적으로 보고되는 (전통적인) 매직 넘버와 가장 유사합니다. 만약 팀이 이와 같이 추가
경기에서 승리할 경우에는 어느 팀보다 좋은 기록으로 시즌을 마칠 수도 있거나 동률로 1위를
차지할 수도 있습니다.
별표(*)는 이 팀이 남은 경기에서 모두 승리하더라도 컨퍼런스 1위를 차지하지 못할 것임을

An asterisk (*) indicates that even if this team wins all of its remaining games, it will not necessarily clinch first place in its conference. In this case the team does not have a first place clinch number. 앞으로 팀이 남은 경기에서 RIOT이 제공하는 숫자 만큼 승리할 경우 포스트시즌 진출권(1~5위)을 보장 받습니다. 정규시즌우승에 필요한 승수와 마찬가지로 별표(*)가 있는 팀들은 남은 경기를 모두 이겨도 플레이오프 진출을 장담할 수 없다는 것을 의미합니다

If a team wins this number of additional games, it is guaranteed a playoff berth. This could be as the conference winner or as one of the other top eight teams in the conference (including the possibility of winning a two-way tie-breaker for 8th place). Caveats 주의사항
The method used to calculate the RIOT numbers takes the possibility that the team in question could be tied in the standings with one other team, but excludes the possibility of a tie with two or more other teams. The elimination numbers are conservative; it's possible that a team can stay in contention with fewer wins due to a scenario where they win the tiebreaker with multiple teams. Conversely the clinch numbers are technically lower limits on the number of games need to clinch first place or playoff berth. 리오트 넘버를 계산하는 방법은 해당 팀이 1개 팀과 동률일 가능성을 택하지만, 2개 이상의 팀과 동점일 가능성은 배제합니다. 탈락방지넘버는 보수적으로 계산됩니다; 여러 팀과의 동률로 승리하는 시나리오로 인해 한 팀이 적은 승률로도 계속 경쟁에서 남아 할 수 있습니다. 반대로, 클린치 넘버는 1위나 플레이오프 진출권을 따기 위해 필요한 경기 수의 사실상의 하한선입니다.
