Currently: I work in the
Office of the
Dean of Student Life at
Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I have been
singing with the Dallas
Symphony Chorus since 1995 and married to Susan since 1996 and have a
son, born in early 2004. I've also gotten involved somewhat with one of
Susan's hobbies, miniatures - from approximately mid-1999 to late-2004, I
was the webmaster for the American
Museum of miniature Arts website (but not any more).
World Travels: So far I've traveled to Israel (with the Chorus
in 1996 to sing Mahler's Symphony No. 8) and to Haiti in 1984 on a church
mission trip. I hope to eventually put up pictures of both trips on this
site. My wife and I went to
Germany for
our 5th wedding anniversary - I was really just along for the ride for
most of it - since Susan had already been there... We stayed with her host
mother in Cologne and host brother and his family in Berlin. And I had a
digital camera to take along on the trip! It's a
Nikon Coolpix 775 that I
bought from Outpost.com
(now owned by Fry's).
Almost Famous: I have used about 6 seconds of my "15-minutes-of-fame" by appearing in a walk-across-the-screen role in
Weird Al Yankovic's movie UHF, which was
partly filmed in Tulsa, OK, in 1989. Look for me walking across a cemetery
in a TV commercial for "Plots-R-Us," consoling my "mother" about 20
minutes into the movie. If you come across the movie some night at 2:00
am, yes, the tall lanky one with late-80's hair is me - and no, that's not
my real mother. I need to find an actual picture of my footage - or even
get the whole clip and post it here (provided I can get the permission to
do either one...) Click
HERE if you want to see Weird Al's website and leave my humble
pages... not that I'll really let you leave easily - every link on this
website that isn't part of my site will open into a new page. [insert
silly, evil laugh here]
Plans For This Website: I hope to make this site a showcase of
photos of family and friends, as well as posting pictures and narratives
from trips I and my wife have taken, not to mention a resume at some point
& other information that I want to put out there for you, you dear,
discerning reader/viewer, to make whatever sense of it you will.... These few pages are just the beginning - I'm
expecting to be able to do much more in the future - for now, though, this
is what there is... enjoy it until it changes!
