Grading

Your grade in Senior Design will be based on the written report and presentation. Grades will be based on a combination of the following factors:

  • Situation / problem difficulty
  • Quality of work
  • Depth of analysis
  • Professionalism of presentation and written report
  • Originality of work

The first three factors operate together, so that lower problem difficulty can be overcome by higher work quality and greater depth of analysis, while a very difficult project need not be considered in as great a depth as a less demanding problem.  Below is a sample evaluation sheet used by your instructor in assessing your project and course grade.

Also, individual grades are based on the team project grade and the team member peer evaluations of each person’s contributions to the project. See syllabus for details.
