Each test will take 55 minutes and it will cover materials starting from the book chapter after the previous week test. More time will be available for students requiring special accommodations (issued by proper officials on campus)*. Only your two best tests will count towards the course grade. A missed test will be assigned a score of zero
The maximum number of points is 100
The tests are free-response exams with no multiple-choice questions
A periodic table will be provided by the instructor
Only a simple scientific calculator is allowed
No books, no notes, no electronic devices (such as smart phones, iPods, iPads, laptops, etc.)
No make-up tests.
* Disability Accommodations: Students needing academic accommodations for a disability must first contact Ms. Rebecca Marin, Coordinator, Services for Students with Disabilities (214-768-4557) to verify the disability and establish eligibility for accommodations. They should then schedule an appointment with the professor to make appropriate arrangements (See University Policy No. 2.4.)
