Optoelectronics Device Characterization Laboratory

The Optoelectronics Device Characterization Laboratory is dedicated to optical testing and device characterization. Equipment in this laboratory includes:

  • HP 70004 Optical Spectrum Analyzer
  • ILX Laser Diode Test Instruments
  • Two ElectroPhysics Ge Infrared cameras
  • Miscellaneous optical test equipment
  • E-Tek automated laser Characterization System
  • Manual probe test system for surface-emitting lasers
  • Manual probe test system for edge-emitting laser die and bars
  • Sensor Physics near- and far-field measurement system
